Milestones

My daughter is 15 this year, and that means we have a confirmation celebration this coming summer. In Finland confirmation parties are milestones of the sort that gather relatives together, which means lots of invitations need to be sent. I am posting for the SimonSaysStamp Monday challenge (In the Middle) and the Designs by Ryn customer creations challenge with these confirmation invitations.

I have used stencils (cross by Joy, maidenhair branch by Designs by Ryn), Distress Inks with an ink blender tool, clear embossing powder and masking sheets, working straight on the card blank. I have bulk made 25 invitations and envelopes, hopefully that will be enough :)

I started with yellow ink on the bottom. After that was dry, I continued with the pink, spreading ink into the cross and maidenhair corners and embossing them with clear embossing powder. The last phase was masking the edges once more and spreading green ink. The embossing gives a resist effect so the pink stands nicely out.
