The dragonfly

The Craft Barn calendar challenge asked for lavender and dragonflies in June. I simply couldn't fit the project into June, but started of July by getting this done (and the July page too, since all the collage papers were out!). Since the original link up has closed, I'm posting for the Craft Barn weekly challenge (Stripes) and the Our Creative Corner challenge (moodboard, hot mexican colours).

As with the previous pages of this calendar, The layers are stamping, acrylic paints, paper collage, sewing and doodling. The paper is an A4 sheet of Canson Imagine mixed media cardstock and I have hand drawn the calendar grid in Finnish style (monday-sunday) and with the namedays for each day. I left the dragonfly wings unglued for a 3D effect. Here are some pictures of the process:

Background stamping with a Paperartsy Hot pick set,
 especially stripes :)

Fresco Finish paints in the background, spread with a card.
Decided this would be the base for my collage.

Everything glued and sewed!

Doodles done mostly with Sharpie pens.
