Still playing with my new Chocolate Baroque stamps and the Silhouette landscape. I am posting this card for the Chocolate Baroque colour challenge (maroon, orange, green and turqoise) and the SimonSaysStamp Monday challenge (anything goes).
The silhouette landscape was coloured with Distress Markers and "huffed" before stamping. Obviously the stamp was too dry... rather difficult to huff on such a large surface, and perhaps the large solid areas of the stamp effect the result too? I used the same technique on some other images of the stamp set, and the results were really crisp, actually too crisp, so I took a waterbrush and spread the colours around. The pieces have then been fussy cut and mounted with foam squares.
I embellished the envelope with the butterfly stamp. This image shows the difference between the crisp "huffed" butterflies (the second generation one is slightly lighter) and the one on the card with the colours spread out by the waterbrush.
Love your beautiful card! The colors are wonderful. Thank you so much for sharing with us at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. :)
