The background has been made by dipping the ATC in Seedless Preserves ink that I had diluted on an acrylic block. I wanted some extra detail there, so I used a spring stamp with crocuses on a text background and stamped some handwriting around the edges of the card. The bird is mounted on low foam tape. She (or he?) has been stamped on a variety of underpapers in the challenge colours and pieced together. I added some stamping and embossing on the wing because even though it was from a different sheet of underpaper, it was too close to the colour of the body. I used a white sharpie pen to add some detail in the eye and stitches.
Cheers for spring and the "tweet tweet" I am at this moment hearing from outside, though none of our birds are this colourful :)
Oh I love this, beautiful use of colour and a fab background. Thank you so much for joining in with our challenge at Country View Crafts and have a great weekend. Sue xx
VastaaPoistaA fabulous ATC Kristiina, great use of the challenge colours, and the paper piecing and white sharpie really make everything just pop. Thanks for entering the Chocolate Baroque challenge, Judith xx
VastaaPoistaVery beautiful ATC, I love how you used the paper piecing technique on the bird. I guess we don't know if it's a male or female bird, but I love what you've done with it! Thanks for joining us at Chocolate Baroque's Colour Challenge, Shirleyxx
