Autumn flowers

My second take on the Chocolate Baroque colour challenge with shades of grey and yellow.

I used a mixed media background (= torn scrap paper glued on scrap card and covered with gesso) and stamps from several CB sets here are the layers:

Some fragments around the edges and text
from a spring stamp
Diamond background from an edge stamp
The main image and small rosehips
from the Autumn Poppy set
I covered the images with clear gesso and
painted with watercolours
More colour and details with Coloursoft pencils
and a white gel pen. Done!
I finished the piece by sewing around it with yellow thread and mounted it on a 5x7 card base. I love the glow of those lantern plants, The ones in my garden are orange, but I think yellow suits them fine :)

  3. WOW! Another stunning project for the Challenge. Love how you have combined and built up the stamped images and the yellow flowers just pop from the page. Lovely x.
