The
Craft Barn calendar challenge is asking for grey and owls in November. Here is my collage version of the theme. I don't really like the way my grey turned out: it covered all the background stamping and looks kind of dirty, but I compensated by trying to find happy colours for the rest. I'm also posting for the
Craft Barn weekly challenge (fireworks and stars).
The pieces have been handcut from underpapers, glued and sewed on the background. I was especially happy about some spots of gilding that I found, cut those out for the leaves. I should have taken pictures before I adhered the spots in the eyes, it's hilarious how different expressions one can make by moving those spots around! The doodling has been done with acrylic markers.
