A dream within a dream

I have a second post for the Paperartsy challenge on sprays. Nothing super phenomenal on this, but I did try new things like spraying on fabric :) Since I have a splotchy background and flowers, I'm also posting for the Our Creative Corner challenge (April showers bring May flowers)and the Country View challenge (Simply Scenic)... and after trying (without result) to translate the sentiment for my daughter, I came to the conclusion this fits the Craft Barn weekly challenge (Words/Wordplay).

I was lucky with the PA niche challenge (yay!). When I first saw this stamp I remember wondering why anyone would ever want a stamp with a woman who has fishflags on her hat... But I decided to choose from the LP range and kept returning to this one, so here it is and she is gorgeous! I was surprised by the size of these, lucky I had an acrylic block large enough :) I also chose a Hotpick sheet with background textures, and inked the stamps as soon as they arrived to make this page. I remembered to stop and take pictures, so if you want to see what this page contains, here you are:

I had used my page as underpaper last autumn.
I spread a layer of clear gesso before spraying with Dylusions inks.
Stamped with my new PA stamps and a Penny Black flower.
Bleached out the stamped girl, later bleached the sentiment and flowers too.
I sprayed a piece of white linen, stamped flowers and fussy cut them
I frayed the edges of the fabric and glued the flowers down, added black and white
to the sentiment and decided to leave out the dragonfly
The most interesting thing I found out was, that the bleach only bit on the layer above the gesso, so the bleached out areas had multiple colours. I was especially pleased with the "makeup" this provided around the girl's eye. And on the other hand I was pleased I happened to stamp her on a place where her face otherwise bleached out!
